Crispy Fish Batter



A truly crispy fluffy flaky battered fish is hard to come by. Sure you can have it when you dine out, but the at home version is a hard fought battle. This battered fish will not disappoint, thanks to the addition of a secret ingredient given to me from none other than my brother.

Crispy Fish Batter


1 cup White flour

2 TBSP Baking powder

1/2 cup Whole milk

1/2 cup Water

1TBSP White Vinegar

1 Tsp Salt


Combine the flour, baking powder and salt set aside.

Combine the milk, water and vinegar.

Mix the liquid mixture into the flour whisking until smooth. Let the batter sit for 4-5 minutes to allow the gasses to work there magic.

*Be sure to pat your fish veggies, or onions dry to ensure the batter adhears to them without sliding off.
