A truly crispy fluffy flaky battered fish is hard to come by. This battered fish will not disappoint, thanks to the addition of a secret ingredient given to me from none other than my brother.
Yields 5-7 battered fish filets
1 cup - white flour
2 tbsp - baking powder
1/2 cup - whole milk
1/2 cup - water
1 tbsp - white Vinegar
1 tsp - salt
Combine the flour, baking powder and salt set aside.
Combine the milk, water, and vinegar.
Mix the liquid mixture into the flour whisking until smooth. Let the batter sit for 4-5 minutes to allow the gasses to work their magic.
*Be sure to pat your fish veggies, or onions dry to ensure the batter adheres to them without sliding off.
